Dore and Oren went alone arrived at the market at 16:30
Each box 5 nis (no longer 3 / 20 nis - 6.5 nis per box)

Watermelon was 10 nis but was spongy inside, taste was good but had to trash it all.
Suspect it had been previously frozen.
Bean sprouts were browning already and some parts rotten so trashed it all.

Cauliflower was slightly soft with minor brown patches, scraped them off. In the oven, forgot to steam, seasoned well, burnt the top, but tasted amazing!

Avocadoes 24 nis? rock hard, hope to enjoy during the week

Lots of very good tomatoes, 2 boxes and 2 boxes of cucumbers also, so we are good there. From not having ANYTHING in the fridge. Been topping up at the local grocery shop with 4 tomatoes till Friday came.

First time Oren went to the market. They figured out the deal fast. Dore had been there a few times with me.
They both did very good.

Yoni came for Shabbat dinner. Was heart-warming and chatty. Cheerful talk and eating around the kitchen table.

UPDATE: This hoard lasted two weeks with top up of carrots, onions, mushrooms (+33 nis)
So 253 nis - family 5 - two weeks!

The top ups were mainly because I had a Pickling workshop and used the carrots, kohlrabi here.

Nonstop rain. A 2 hour break so went to see what would be at the shuk

Arrived late as went thru the beach. Arrived to the market around 16:30
